[glow=blue,2,300]I say there is nothing wrong with Spolit Rich Preppy Boys, and I grew up with 7 of them. They weanr't preppypreppy, just the uniforms Now, we are not the type to flash around big chequebooks/money/whatever, but I remember when I was living in England, these girls asked what school I went to. When I told them, their opinion totally changed. and they suddenly summed me up as a "rich brat" . Most of the rich people I know are some of the most charming, nice, sweet people ever. And thanks for the spoliers. Glad to see she is no longer with that mop ([/glow]

Oh geez Sara, Dean has to struggle to survive doesn't he? What had Dean ever worked for? So he works at Doose's...big deal. He has a big house, nice car, nice clothes....and I doubt he had to work for any of that. And lets not forget, Lorelai was a rich kid growing up. She had everything given to her on a silver plater, just like Tristan. Just coz she rebelled doesn't change anything.

stress on the spoiled brats...I'm not saying all rich kids are jerks. The difference, which you would know if you bothered to get what I was trying to say, is that Tristan is conceited because of his money. Whereas Lorelai struggled to get away from it. Yeah there's a difference.
Maria, more often than not teenagers work because either they need to or because they want to buy stuff for themselves. I never said Dean was starving, but he does work to buy things he wants and/or needs. Jess got a job to buy a car. He isn't starving either. But I'll stand by my statement I'd rather be with someone who works for what he wants than someone who has everything ( material wise) that he wants and still wants more and is a jerk about it.

Lets just agree to disagree huh? (again! ). It would be interesting if we found out Tristan had a job (if he stayed on the show). But ya know, we haven't really gotten to know any of Rory's loves/admirers...except for Jess. Dean was always "Rory's first boyfriend" and Tristan was "The rich guy that wanted her". I wonder why they did that. And we don't even know much about Jess really. I tell you what would be really cool this season...if they brought Jess's mum on the show. It would create so much drama!!

OH. MY. GOD. From Zap2it- Poor Rory Gilmore. Just as she's finally admitted her true feelings for Stars Hollow's resident bad boy, Jess, and dumped first love Dean in order to be with him, she's about to get her heart broken all over again.
Milo Ventimiglia, who plays Jess, will be getting his own spin-off in the form of a new one-hour series on The WB. Like "Gilmore Girls," the currently untitled project will be created and helmed by Amy Sherman-Palladino and will revolve around Jess and his estranged father's relationship.
"It's the story of Jess' reconnection with the father he barely knows, and how his life will change after high school," Sherman-Palladino says. "The fast pace and the comedy/drama mix of the series will be similar to 'Gilmore Girls,' but there will be a lot less skirts."
The WB already has one hour show that heavily depends on the father/son dynamic -- "Everwood." However, Sherman-Palladino says the premises are nothing alike. Whereas "Everwood" is about a father and son reconnecting, this new show will be about a father and son who for all practical purposes have never met or have any shared history -- the flip side to Rory and Lorelai's super close bond on "Gilmore Girls."
Previously, The WB has had sucess with a spin-off in the form of "Angel." The characters of Angel, Cordelia and Wesley all were part of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" first.
Barring a sudden network hop though, both "Gilmore Girls" and Ventimiglia's new show will remain on the same one, allowing for many cross-over possibilities.
The character of Jess' father will be introduced in two upcoming episodes of "Gilmore Girls" later this season. The role has not yet been cast. Wow. Just...wow. Talk about coming out of left field. Spin-off? Jebus. I don't really mind the idea actually. I always knew Jess would have to leave eventually. He's a bright kid, why would he stay in Stars Hollow after everyone else has gone to college? It doesn't make sense. The only thing I find really weird is, why Jess's dad? I would've thought they'd be bringing his mom in

Yeah... I love Everwood too... but this is going to be odd... I really can't imagine a show all about Jess, even if he is interesting... it just won't be the same... I mean, without Stars Hollow and Luke and everyone... it's just... weird I guess. ~*~Laur~*~
