lol, don't worry not in the mood to debate dean/jess/tristan... just making the point that none of rory's "guys" have been developed enough to be anything but stereotypical...we've heard little snippets but its all pretty mysterious.
Dean- the nice guy Jess-the badass Tristan- the rich kid

ok i here is everything i know for next season:
Episode One: Lazy Hazy Crazy Days Written by: Amy-Sherman Palladino Airs: 09.24.02
The episode starts with Lorelai waking up, going downstairs and Luke is making breakfast. He goes to work and gives her a kiss, and talks to her stomach the way someone would if she were preganant. Then Lorelai wakes up. She calls Rory in DC to have her analyze this dream. Rory mentions coming home the next day. Dean is coming home [from Chicago] the next day also. There is a festival [in Stars Hollow] planned.
In DC an intern, Jamie, asks Paris on a date, but she doesn't realize it. Rory informs her of the situation and Paris wigs out. Rory helps her get ready for it.
Rory has gotten quite a few letters from Dean while in DC, but it seems that most of the letters that she writes are for Jess – though none of them get finished or sent. She left for DC without saying anything to Jess.
Lorelai is freezing Christopher out (he leaves a message on the machine that they erase).
At the fair, Rory is searching for someone. Lorelai notices and asks who. She (Rory) sees Jess making out with the new girl. She gets upset and Lorelai gets mad at her. Lorelai is really upset with Rory for the way she is treating Dean more than for the fact that Rory kissed Jess. She tells Rory that if she chooses Jess than she (Lorelai) will have to live with it, but she (Rory) should make up her mind. Of course, this conversation is right after Rory sees Jess with Shane, so Rory says she will give Dean her attention and get over Jess.Dean comes up right then. Dean doesn't hear Rory and Lorelai arguing and he doesn't [yet] know about the kiss.

Episode Two: Haunted Leg Airs: 09.31.02
The episode title comes from the fact that Lorelai is sick with a head cold. She'd much rather have an interesting disease if she has to be sick at all, so that she could say things like, "Oh, I have a haunted leg."
The episode starts off with another tension-filled dinner at the Gilmore's house. Richard is travelling, so it's up to Rory to ease the strain between Emily and Lorelai. She tells Lorelai to tell Emily about the mouse at the inn, which of couse ends badly.
While Rory and Lorelai are at Luke's, Shane comes into the diner where she has a one-word conversation with Jess, before they both leave. Jess walks out the door first, letting it shut behind him before Shane has a chance to get through.
Luke gives Lorelai a tallking-to about her health, after she orders soup for her third breakfast in a row. Then Dean comes in the diner to hang with the girls, even though he's already eaten and is full. They ignore that and force him to order anyhow. Rory is appreciative of Dean, who talks in full sentences.
At the inn, they are all still trying to catch the mouse. Kirk comes by and asks Lorelai for a date in two weeks, when she's not sick anymore. Later he leaves several messages on her machine, one of which contains Kirk's mother picking up on another extension and Kirk yelling at her. Lorelai ultimately turns him down, after asking Rory for a nice way to do the deed.
Rory is a senior this year, which makes Lorelai all sad about this being Rory's last first day of High School. After school, the new student government is being sworn in. Rory has asked both Lorelai and Emily to come watch, because Rory's going to give a speech. There's an issue about whether or not Lorelai will save Emily a seat.
After the ceremony, there's a casual "get-to-know-you" meeting with the presidents of each class, which Paris turns into a "This is how this year is going to be" type lecture. Although Paris is Student Body President, Francie (President of the Puffs) is Senior Class President, and lets Rory know that Paris isn't as in charge as she thinks she is. Rory then convinces Paris to humor Francie's request for shorter hemlines, so that Paris will be more liked and may lead to her getting things she wants down the road.
Emily wants to have lunch with Lorelai. She even stoops to having it at Luke's, because she knows how much Lorelai likes it there. As would be imagined, Emily has a lot of trouble deciding what to eat there.
Luke and Lorelai have a chat; Luke teases Lorelei about Kirk asking her out, because Kirk asked him whether or not he has a chance with her. Lorelei made a comment earlier like, "Remember when you hated me?" They are obviously doing a lot better; when he brings up the Kirk thing, they are back to their old ways. He even sings a few bars of, "Love is in the Air".
Lorelai finally weasels out of Emily the reason that she wanted to have lunch together: Emily called and spoke to Christopher since she knows that Lorelai refuses to. Emily says that she knows Christopher doesn't love Sherry and should really be with Lorelai. Lorelai is furious that Emily butted in, and storms out of the diner.
Christopher shows up uninvited at the Gilmore Friday dinner. Lorelai is angry at Emily for this. Christopher accuses Lorelai of keeping him away from Rory, causing Rory to jump in and say that it was her own choice not to call him, because she's mad at him. She pretty much calls him a liar for saying that things would work out for them as a family.
At one point during the dinner, there is a bit about the maid. She's pretty much inept, causing Lorelai to ask Emily why she's held on to her this long. Emily says that she's doing it becuase Richard has accused her of not being able to keep a maid. Lorelai asks if Emily has ever liked one of their maids. Emily has liked one, when Lorelai was about five.
After the horrible meal (mostly due to the inept maid) at Emily's, Rory is at the market buying food when she happens to run into Jess. Dean is not working, but Jess and Rory have enough ammunition for a very heated fight on their own. She wants to know why he's dating Shane. Jess has some very serious answers for her: she wanted the kiss kept a secret, and didn't communicate with him at all after the kiss. He informs her that he decided not to wait around for her like Dean would, and speaking of Dean, isn't she still with him? After they fight a lot, she admits that she still is. He says "Great," or something akin to that, and then walks away.

Episode Three
This episode totally revolves around college - there's no Jess. Rory and Lorelai go to dinner at a Harvard alumni's house, and Rory wows him. But she and Lorelai are also freaked out by the notion of her moving away.
Lane puts out an ad for bandmates and she meets her future man. He likes her ad.
Dean and Rory discuss their future, and Dean is way more mature about the prospects than Rory expected
here are some unconfirmed spoilers....
Dean breaks up with Rory sometime before November sweeps.
Sherry (Mädchen Amick) becomes a recurring character
Edward Herrman will have a reduced role next year because he's on another show.
Sherry will also be limited to only a few episodes next season.
Lane's new boyfriend is white, which Mrs. Kim doesn't like at all. She also hates his family, and so does everyone else in Stars Hollow. Someone leads a tirade against him.
As would be expected, Paris and Rory disagree as student body leaders, but band together when they must face off against the administration.
In the first few episodes, Luke is still nursing his grudge and is nasty to Lorelai.
Babette suffers from a heartbreak.
Sookie and Jackson want Lorelai to take sides in their first marital fight.
Sherry is nice to Lorelai in front of Christopher, but when he's not around lets Lorelai have it.

Not 8:00 oasis but the other one, The one where Lorelai need's a dance partner, so she goes to a married guy, and ask, and his wife is okay with it until she sees Lorelai and makes him drop out, or pull out, whatever, so then she asks Rory to take his place and she says yes, in the middle of the dance comp. Lorelai has to leave because of something, I'm not sure so she asks Dean to fill in, and of course he says yes. In the middle of the dance, Rory and Jess start to argue, and when she says sorry to Dean, he says it doesn't matter, I'm not your boyfriend anymore you like Jess, and he likes you back, so Shane just better wise up or get with it or something like that anyway, like Jess said I wouldn't call him son just yet.

these are very accurate so enjoy!
Episode 3.6, Take the Deviled Eggs Airs 11.05.02 Written by Daniel Palladino Characters present in this episode include but are not limited to: Kirk, Taylor, Lane, Babette, Miss Patty, Luke, Lorelai, Rory and Jess.
Main characters who are not in this episode are: Dean, Emily Richard and Chris.
Taylor and the townsfolk are intrigued by a protest.
Jess buys a car. Luke talks to Jess about where he got the money to buy the car, and we find out that Jess has been working at Wal-Mart to earn money.
A bra is seen in the back of Jess's car.
Jess and Lane have a little confrontation about the car he bought. Lane is mad at Jess because he has a car after "wrecking Rory's." Rory goes along with Lane's rant, though we know she doesn't blame Jess, she is obviously angry about something.
Lorelai and Rory go to Sherry's baby shower in Boston. The invitation only included Rory (Sherry's friends talked her out of inviting Lorelai), but Lorelai drives Rory to the shower and when Sherry sees Lorelai in the car, she talks her into staying. Lorelai and Rory both sing karaoke. Sherry and Lorelai have a conversation that gets Lorelai so pissed that she goes into the bathroom and rearranges the medicine cabinet. There is some great stuff where they have to play baby shower games.
Lorelai is so upset and frustrated after Sherry's talk with her at the baby shower that when they see Jess's new car on the way home, Rory suggests that to vent their anger, they egg it with the deviled eggs that Sherry made them take home.
When Jess sees that someone has egged his car, he wonders who would do such a thing. Luke seems very amused by the whole situation, although he doesn't know who it was.

They Shoot Gilmores, Don't They? Episode 3.7 Airs 11.12.02 The title refers to an old movie called, "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?" which was about a dance marathon.
Stars Hollow has an annual dance marathon. Lorelai is desperate to beat Kirk this year so she searches for a partner. She ends up convincing Rory to be hers after her partner's wife sees her and makes him pull out.
Paris has a date with Jamie. He comes to Chilton and tells her he couldn't stop thinking about her.
Dave comes and butters up to Lane's mom by eating one of her healthy sandwiches (that everyone else practically spits out). He arranges to see Lane later.
Rory and Dean are at the marathon. Jess and Shane show up and he just stares at Rory. Later, Lorelai has to get her shoe fixed and she has Dean stand in for her. Dean and Rory are dancing when Rory and Jess start bickering. Dean ends up saying that it doesn't matter cause she's not his girlfriend anymore and that he tried to ignore it, but she's totally into Jess and he's into her so Shane had better wise up.
Rory is on the bridge when Jess comes up to her. She admits that Dean was right, and asks Jess if he was. And when he doesn't respond, she says that he was right about Rory. Jess admits he was right. Then he makes sure that Rory and Dean are broken up and says he has to go take care of something and leaves.
Episode 3.8: Let the Games Begin Airs 11.19.02 Richard initiates a visit to Yale with Rory. Emily and Lorelai also come along. Richard didn't tell her that he had arranged for her to see someone in admissions. When she goes into the meeting unprepared she becomes quite upset with her grandfather.
There's no official declaration between Rory and Jess, but the scene in the previous episode made it pretty obvious that they want to be together. They're acting a little nervous around each other, but something is definitely starting.
Luke is happy that Jess and Rory are a couple, but he's also feeling protective of Rory and so laws down the law with Jess regarding the relationship.
Jess and Rory go upstairs from the diner to look for a book. Luke interrupts them (no kissing has yet taken place).
Later, Jess and Rory meet up and smooch a bit.
Jess and Rory leave the diner separately. In a sad scene, Rory goes to find Dean and explain things a little. She says that she's sorry about the way things turned out, and that she did love him once. He's hurt and angry.

Episode 3.9: A Deep-Fried Korean Thanksgiving, Airs 11.26.02 Written By: Daniel Palladino[/I] Lorelai and Rory go to four different Thanksgiving dinners; one at the Kim's, one at the elder Gilmore's, one at Sookie and Jackson's, and one at Luke's. Lorelai suggested skipping the one at Luke (he gets a little miffed when he finds this out), but Rory points out that Luke always waits for them to eat, etc., so then they decide to make it their last stop. The dinners at the Kim's and Sookie and Jackson's are hilarious.
Lane and Dave kiss. It's really sweet.
Rory and Jess are kissing out in the open in front of the flower shop near the market and Rory freaks because she fears that Dean will see them. Jess jokes around but tries to reassure her that everything is ok.
Later after the dinner at the diner is over, Jess is helping Luke clean up and when he goes out to dump the trash, Dean confronts him and wants to fight. No fight takes place, just a confrontation.
Luke talks to Lorelai, telling her that he laid down the law with Jess regarding Rory. Lorelai then tells Luke that Rory and Jess are with each other at that moment, which Luke didn't know, so he freaks out a bit. Rory and Jess sort of snuck out to see each other. It's a funny scene.
Episode 3.10: Movin' In And Movin' On Airs 12.03.02 It's Richard's 60th birthday and his mother comes back into town, announcing that she's moving back. Lorelai teaches Emily how to handle her mother in law.
Dean brings back some of Rory's things.
Rory and Dean have coffee (not at Luke's), trying to be friends.
There is more tension with the Puffs and Francie at Chilton.
There's a winter carnival. Jess isn't going to go to the carnival until Rory runs into Dean and Clara (Dean's sister), and then he decides to join them.
Jess and Dean get into another argument about Dean trying to get back in Rory's life. No fists though. Jess isn't really jealous, just wondering what Dean's trying to do. It's more like Jess is very aware of how he got Rory and he doesn't want to lose her the same way. He actually plays it pretty cool with Rory.

Whats wrong with the Whole Prep Boy Image?? And nothing wrong with Spoilt Rich Kids! -Kelly
A lot is wrong. That personality lacks real substance. But whatever, I'd rather have someone who works hard for what he gets i.e. Dean or even Jess, who in the next new eppy we find out works at a Wal-Mart to buy his car, than a brat that has everything given to him.
