" I dont know. I mean Tristan like this is understandable. He's always like this, but Rory. I have no idea. She usually doesn't leave me and not only that, she didn't even say anything in defense for herself. That's not at all like her," she explained as Jess listened intently while getting out his key.

"Maybe she's getting me back for this morning." Jess mumbled. "But that doesn't seem like Rory either...I bet it's that jerk she's with." After glancing at Paris at second thought he added "Sorry." He fished his keys out, "so ready to get going? Or did you want to make the town nervous by skulking around the streets after dark?"

"No trouble, it's not like there is anything else to do in this town anyway." Jess said as he put his keys back in his pocket. "Well actually the trouble might be giving you a tour of the rest of the town seeing as we've been through most of it. But I'll do my best." Jess wrapped his arm around Paris's shoulders and pointed with the other hand, "see that, that's the town tree...and that over there," he said pointing again, "is the town bench." He told her teasingly

"Yeah well, Stars Hollow is just such a wonderful place to live," sarcastically Jess replied. "Oh I almost forgot, that's our amazing 24 hour mini-mart...it closed about an hour ago." He pointed, then beginning to feel awkward about putting his arm around Paris he nonchalantly put his hands in his pockets. "So you want to get something to eat maybe, before we go...I mean that was pretty much the whole town, unless you want to walk around again. I mean 3 lefts and you're back where we started from."

Once they got to the diner Jess held the door for Paris to enter. "So where do you want to sit?" Jess asked surveying the half empty diner.
