i am actually reading Anne of Green Gables
have any of you read the twitches books? they are soooooo good Identical twins. Separated at birth. If they ever met, they could... Use their powers to save a life. Find out about their past. Fall into very evil hands.
Guess what? They're about to meet.
Camryn Barnes: Smart, upbeat, and popular, Cam is best of breed all around. Except she has one bone-chilling secret. Cam sees things happening, before they happen. Very bad things.
Alexandra Fielding: Spunky, punky, and sarcastic, Alex is all about making it from day to day. Life's tough, but Alex deals. Except for the weirdness. Alex hears things. The things people think, but haven't said.
The twin daughters of two very powerful witches, Cam and Alex were born Apolla and Artemis, after the Greek gods of the sun and the moon. Recognizing that together, their powers could be used for tremendous good or the ultimate evil, it was decided that they would be safer apart. They were separated and placed with strangers who would protect them from harm and raise them as their own. Until one day, their worlds collided. Now their lives will never be the same.
Twins + Witches = T*Witches!

Oh, Seventeen isn't a book...
Nope, I'm not reading one for pleasure right now. We're reading Animal Farm in class though. And soon I'll have to find a book for a science book report that's due in about two weeks.
I was reading Breakfast at Tiffany's, but I've been busy, and I haven't had time.

Jane Eyre and Sense and Sensibilty are both good. Jane Eyre if one of my faves. I have yet to read The Portable Dorothy Parker but I am planning on it as soon as I have more time also. I also did like Hamlet, although I have never heard of Fearless #17: Flee" by Francine Pascal or Forever by Judy Blume before. Odyssey had a pretty good story, but the actual writing wasn't that good. I have read Anne of Green Gables but that wuz a long time ago so don't remember it that much. I have never heard of the twiches books, but they sound very interesting. My favorite thing to read is poetry of any sort, its a passion for me. I also like reading true stories cuz they inspire me to do great things with my life or to make a difference. I like most famous fictions cuz if they are famous or heard of, they are prolly good. I also enjoy reading about things I like, for instance the ocean or a favorite author. I pretty much like reading in general cuz that is how you learn the most. I learn sumthing from every book I read. I normally read at night and I stay up really late sumtimes reading cuz once I get into a book, it is like I cannot stop for anything. Well okay, this is looking long so I better stop! ~Jules

Ooh. We just finished The Odyssey completely this week or the end of last week. Heh. We didn't see the whole movie though. Only about half an hour of parts of it.
I love Jane Eyre. It's one of my favorites. I couldn't put it down. The French was difficult to understand since I've only taken German and never got French as an elective (German isn't an elective-- it's a real class, just to clarify). But I got through that by using the context clues.
I also love The Portable Dorothy Parker. Funny book. everything in there is just so cute or somewhat pessimistic or just humorous is a well-written way. It's so hard to find that, IMO, in so many books.
Now I'm reading Hiroshime for my science book report. Should be a quick read.
And one day I'll finish Breakfast at Tiffany's. Maybe during finals.
After that I want to read The Great Gatsby or The Catcher In the Rye or this one book I saw at Border's. It looked funny.

Once Im done with the books that Ive mentioned, Im gonna look for The Catcher In The Rye, Macbeth, A Walk To Remember, Density of Souls and Requiem For A Dream.
Ive never read Animal Farm before, but my school had a play on it last year.

Everyone told me Animal Farm was boring, and I can see how it might be if you know nothing about what its basis is. But we're learning a lot about the history right now as we read, so I think that's helped to...pique my interest in the book. I'm actually enjoying it right now. It's much more fun to be able to compare everything to reality and humans and such than to just think that it could never happen and that it's crazy.

Turns out I was "ahead of the curve". I just barely started Jane Eyre for fun and now I have 9 chapters of Jane Eyre to read for English. Coincidences, coincidences. ~*Susie*
