[glow=red,2,300] The way I hear about new bands is by getting suggestions from friends of mine. Since we're all from different parts of the world, popular stuff does vary. As well as personal taste, and any underground bands you know of. Any suggestions will definitely be checked out by me, and Im sure many others would appreciate them as well. I guess Ill start.
Currently Ive been into: Five Iron Frenzy [ They're an amazing Christian band, and they play ska music, and they rock. And Ruby, they have a song called "Oh Canada" that is the funniest thing you've ever heard. ] Less Than Jake [ I always said I would check out Less Than Jake, and I just got around to actually giving them a chance. They're really good. ] Me First and the Gimme Gimmes [ They do all covers, and some of them rock! ]
I've really been getting into ska and stuff like that lately, so there are some more ska/punk rockish suggestions. ~*Susie*[/glow]

Well I love all types of music... mostly rock and hip hop but I'm really not into the underground scene much. I've heard of Five Iron Frenzy only because my friend is really into ska and Christian bands so I'll ask her about that Oh Canada song! And I'll ask her for some suggestions about bands because I'm mostly into mainstream music. I don't have the time to go searching for good underground stuff! lol I know that there is a new band coming out of Vancouver but I forget their name, they're more of a rock band though. Plus we've got tons of punk bands coming out of Toronto and Montreal after Sum 41 and Simple Plan. But Susie, If you find out about any more bands I'd love to hear about them and check them out!

[glow=red,2,300] You have to hear that song Ruby, its awesome. Lol. Yeah, Simple Plan and many other bands have been coming out of Canada, its crazy. Arizona has almost no one, I could tell of you of some great highschool bands, but you'd never be able to hear them. Lol. ~*Susie*[/glow]

I've got to download that song or something! And I'm so happy about all these new Canadian bands, it's nice that so many of them are getting exposure. Just this weekend I went to a battle of the bands at the Kathedral downtown cuz my friend's cousin's band was playing. They're a bit heavy, but amazing. There was alot of talent that night... And it is too bad that I can't hear all those high school bands!

[glow=blue,2,300]I heard this New song today that I could so realte to, you may have heard it, its called family portrait, and I liked it actually. Its about time the thoughts of the kids in those situations were put out there, and I know from experience how a lot of people don't undertstand what its like to be in that situation.[/glow]

Oh ya, Family Portrait by Pink, I've heard it many times and seen the music video too. I really like the song and the video and I admire how Pink is really singing deeply these days. Less of the just boyfriends and more about life and insecurities....

[glow=blue,2,300]Thats why I like her songs a lot, particaully that one, becuase I can recall saying a lot of those things, especially as I have lived through 6 divorces, and another one soon which sucks
I like music that means something, not fluffy Britney kinda stuff[/glow]

I hate Britney with a passion... Yea I think that Pink's new stuff is great. I haven't lived through a divorce directly (i've seen many divorces with my uncles and such) but my parents have had their share of problems and it's nice to have something to relate through. I'm really not a big fan of pop music, I'm more into rock because it's easier to find meaningful lyrics in that genre. At least in my opinion.

I love pretty much everything. Except Avril Lavigne. I have a deep and disturbing hatred for that girl *shudder* Moving on! I mostly listen to R&B, but I love pop, rock and I really really love 70's and 80's music. Disco rocks socks! Oh yeah, I want to recommend these two songs. I LOVE them, maninly because they're really deep and the lyrics are so beautiful! Anyway, download "Ready for love" by India Arie and "Breathe in now" by George. They're really slow, but so pretty!
