hehe i rewound the eppy and watched it again and wrote down everything i liked! lol that is seriosly long ;D

*Loved 'the family' sitting together for dinner - L/L, R/J :-

*Loved Kirk's cat 'kirk' - 'human kirk' and 'cat kirk' (especially when he was sleeping in the gazebo in the last scene!)

*Loved Dave - he was so sweet and patient playing those hymns...then the kiss - so sweet!

*Still liking Lorelai's hair the way she's wearing it (it's the way I wear MINE!)

*The Sookie thing was very weird - Jackson was totally out of character, and who were all of those young hippy-guys anyway? Where's Rune? But Sookie drunk at the end was funny (with the 'en-scotched' 'ensconsed' foul up) and the deep fried shoe bit

*Babbette commenting on the lackluster R/J kiss was funny!

*Rory really needs to lighten up - poor Jess, you can tell he's majorly frustrated with her teasing him! But the kiss at the end made up for it (a little) Lorelai asking how he kisses was funny, too!

*The Dean/Jess fight was a letdown - I thought Jess would stand up for himself a little more - it was weird to see Dean take the upper hand and walk away victorious. I thought Jess would be more of a scrapper - but then again, he doesn't want Rory to get mad at him, and since she freaked about kissing in front of Dosies, he knows she would.

*I'm getting a little tired of the constant freakouts by Lorelai at every dinner. She really needs to get over it!

*The french people were funny - especially when Lorelai did the line from that song. I'm surprised that Rory didn't speak more French - I know her language is spanish, but I'm pretty sure that she's 'taking' french at Chilton too.

*I got him at Nordstrom and he knows every song (Freebird!) - okay, that only makes sense to those of us in our late 30's, but I laughed my a** off!

Jess and Dean...sorry but I'm on Dean's side. Dean has every right in the world to be pissed off. Provoking Jess, well now the "james dean wannabe" has a taste of his own medicine. How does he like it? Not wanting to look bad in case Rory hears something and walks out. Why do you think Dean never socked jess the way he should have? He didn't want to look bad...making it seem like Jess was the cool laid-back one.

I've got to say but Jess has lost some of his edge. He's pretty sardonic and he let himself be talked down to by Dean...why didn't he dish the comments he's so famous for? No audience anymore?

Maybe when Rory gets her hands on these guys they change. Jess loses his edge...Dean gains some...Tristan broke into a safe...

I loved all the diner scenes but one of my favorites was when Lor and Rory were introduced to Dave, I found that funny for some odd reason.

The Jess/Dean scene was just odd, unless they were going to do something else with that scene, don't know why it was even there...

in my opinion, ppl seem to like jess for one reason (besides his hottness)---his sarcastic, bad boy atitude. I personally like getting to see another side of Jess, the side that says "hey i have a rough outisde, but the right girl can get past that." and i also LIKED the fact that jess didnt fight cuz he didnt want to hurt rory....and i think it would have really torn rory if something had happened and she had to choose btwn the two....new and old....they both have their qualities, even though i prefer jess....i think it was really good of him not to fight dean....and i thought dean was being immature
