Well, this is Btvs's final season.
i just had to post this because i needed an outlet to express my sorrow.
I am not shocked cuz all buffy fans have been expecting this for 2 years. But yet i am. i am in a daze.
i am in mourning for a show that has been in my life since i turned 16. It has had a large influence on me and played a rather big role in shaping my view of people and everything around me. i can safely say that no other show has been able to influence me this much. This is probably because i started watching at an age where i could and would be influenced by things and people around me. But deep inside i don't believe that any other show would have had this much effect. (except for Anne of Green Gables)
I am extremely sad but at the same time i am happy that they're going to end the show on a high note. I can understand Gellar's need to end her reign as Queen of the Supernaturals (my own personal term) and to move on with her life. I am happy for her and i wish her all the best and i will always support her. Just like i will always support the entire cast's personal as well as professional choices and hope they make it in their other shows, movies etc, i will also support the new spin off whatever it may be. Simply because i trust Joss Whedon and his excellent team of writers, directors etc including Marti Noxon whom many Buffy fans have had reason to hate so many times in the past. Her ability to make us hate simply makes me respect her for her decisions, horrible though they may be.
I was putting all my bets on a Faith spin-off and was devastated to find out that Eliza Dusku had instead opted to sign on for a new pilot series. But i respect her decision and after reading the pilot that she has signed up for, i find myself very interested to watch the show should they ever show it in Singapore.
Now i'm guessing it's either gonna be a Dawn or Willow or Kennedy or Spike(but this i doubt) spin-off. But if it's a Kennedy spin-off, they might just have to kill Faith and right know i think this possibility has a good chance of happening. God! I will miss Faith! I love her and Buffy and Spike and Willow and Giles...dear Giles....and Xander, though he has made me hate him a lot in recent past. And even Dawn who is not really a fav of mine.
I will miss the humour, the wit, the gore, the sarcasm, the demons(really!), the puns and a whole lot more.
Okay, i am like crying now. So i'm stop and maybe continue later. or not. i'm just too sad.
Sorry for laying this on you guys. i know that there are that many Buffy fans here. But i just needed to vent. Once again, my apologies.
