Okay back to the Bashing, I know this is more about Emily than Rory, but did anyone else notice Emily didn't ask about Rory once at the graduation? Whats the deal there?!

see i can never hate:: lorelai, rory, or luke and actually tristan most of the time. I may not like how they act in some eppies but te show would be boring if they didnt do stuff like that....i love Rory, my faves list is Lorelai, Rory, Luke.

i mean yah ..some of ye are right...i mean Rory is Self centered...and kinda frigged between picking guys! But hey u kno she is the main PErson in this t.v. Show and ayh shes a bit of a brat but thats what makes this show the way it is! I do...think she is kinda of a brat fer hanging 3 guys up in teh air while she gives them an answer and telling each one she likes them? God..that pissed me off a bit  |

ya i know what you mean. I mean even though she cared about jess, she could have chosen a dif. day to see him instead of when her mom had her only graduation but oh well its not real just a story line

I'm with you guys... for the most part... I could never hate Rory... like ever... Lorelai's my fave... and Luke's awesome... and I love Rory... those three are the best... And they all make stupid mistakes and say or do stupid things... and yes Rory really pisses me off sometimes... but that's kinda part of what makes it realistic.

i know i mean everyone makes mistakes, just cuz she has perfect grades and three hotties falling all over her doesnt mean shes not human lol and i agree w/ laur, i could never hate rory and lorelai is my fav. too and tristan but i still like lorelai better |

I think that Rory has her moments, but sometimes she's just too perfect. She didn't notice Tristan, didn't even give him a chance. She didn't even ask Dean if he could try to not be so possesive. Maybe she couldn't see it but come on. A guy like Tristan asks you out, twice, and teases you while you try to ignore him, well that's like the oldest story in the book. When boys like you they tease you! Jeez. I thought Rory was smart.  Anyways, maybe this is just me venting cause Rory and Tristan never did get together although they had the perfect chance.  What do you think? |

You know I never understood the argument that Rory was portrayed as so perfect. She has flaws just like the rest of us. So she didn't pay attention to Tristan except to banter with him (by the way guys this isn't meant in ANY WAY to be a Tristan bash, at all) and? She had a boyfriend, albeit it was much more casual at first but she had a boyfriend, whom she really liked. Tristan was a really good-looking guy but he never was particularly nice to her except in certain scenes ( I don't think I need to explain) so there really was no reason for Rory to like him. Maybe if we had seen him be more vulnerablt throughout the show shemay have fallen for him but she didn't.
I agree that Rory was stupid by not going to Lorelai's graduation but the truth is she never meant to miss it. She cut school to see Jess; school was what she meant to miss. Rory being the over-thinker that she is figured that she would manage to make it to her mom's graduation. She was completely guilty and she apologized profusely. Sure I still think she made a mistake but once again it proves that Rory isn't perfect.
On other boards people complain that stuff comes to easy to her. Hardly! When she arrived at Chilton she was despised, and worked hard. She studied and even if we never actually saw her she always mentioned that she had to study or that she had studied. Also Rory's not of average intelligence. Clearly she isn't going to struggle with a lot of things. Sure Chiton must have been tough at first but eventually she found her rhythm and it became a breeze, of course as long as she studied. She worked hard and deserved to get into her colleges. Again she's not perfect.
She also screwed Dean over by leading him on; she cheated on him and messed with his head. Maybe you think Dean was possesive but she never gave him a real reason to not be, especially when Jess wasin the picture. She left Dean a longtime before he dumped her. A perfect girl does not mess with guys' heads.
Rory has had to work hard and alogn the ways he's made vital mistakes but that only proves that she's human.
