It's a Lit. And Rory's mom gets breast cancer (I'm on chapter 15 and she hasn't died yet) and Rory has to move to NY to live with her aunt (on her dad's side) because Lorelai is getting treatment in London (Don't ask me why) and it's just a different way of Rory meeting Jess.

I'm not sure (I may be mixing my stories up), but it's about how Tristan meets Jess in the slammer (It was just an overnight thing) and Jess' life sucks so Tristan takes him in. Tristan's friends with Rory and it has NO PLOT WHATSOEVER, but it's written very well.
