The Jazz Fest is always fun. And High School only goes to grade 11 but then theres CEGEP (the 2 college type of thing.) There is a plus side at being legal at 18.

Yea I'd be glad to finish school any day now, but still about a year and a half to go... And I just want to say that accounting is the most boring subject in the world, and twice as bad in french.

[glow=red,2,300] The evils of the drinking age in Quebec. My only piece of advice, dont get a car drunk Ruby. Lol. Do you know how many college kids from UVM[University of Vermont], used to go up and drink themselves under the table in Quebec, and would then get in accidents! Its horrible. Lol. ~*Susie*[/glow]

I wouldn't recommend that either!
I went to English school here but in the English schools, you have to pass French - whereas in French schools, they have English classes in high school but I don't think they need to pass to graduate

Well I stupidly chose to enter an extended french program in grade nine, so that I could learn my country's other language.
And Susie, I'll take your advice. I'm not about to get drunk anywhere.. I've heard that it's not too pleasant.

[glow=red,2,300] Why'd you even want to learn our country's other language? At this rate, Quebec wont even be a piece of Canada in 10 years. ~*Susie*[/glow]

Which I think is the stupidest thing ever. Because if the English hadn't been all that generous all those years ago, the french would have absolutely no rights in this country now. What is Quebec without the rest of Canada? It's just wrong. However, Canada still is a bilinguial country and while french is an official language, I suppose I feel the need to learn it. It's also a beautiful language when not being analyzed in class.

ITA Ruby. I may dislike what's going on here but having a second language is not a bad thing.

And if you were French-Canadian, they should be able to tell by your accent. And actually the only official bilinguial province of Canada is New Brunswick, I think.

I think it depends on where you are in Ontario too because there are French people there too - the eastern part of Ontario anyway - I know a few (and they're not relatives).
