(hmmm... Hey guys, did anyone decide whether Lorelai and Luke were dating in the beginning or not? Cuz I have no clue... hehe And it would help to know... Or are Susie and me just supposed to decide? lol... Why am I always so clueless?!)
Luke walked back over to the Chiltonite table and put down their orders. He noticed that Louise wasn't sitting there anymore and looked down at her order. "Where's your friend?" He asked the rest of them.

"SHe's over there" ROry said, slightly pissed. Lorelai and alyssa were in a animated convo about who was hotter....shane or chad (lol i know chad is on the show....but just work with me) and they completely missed rory sitting down, so she figured she could see what was going on with her "friends".
Riley just continued to stare in shock at louise as she went about getting her meal from luke.

Luke walked back over to the table where Rory was sitting staring off into space and where Lorelai and Alyssa were deep in coversation. He didn't like the look on Rory's face. "Hey, what's wrong, Rory? You're not acting normally." When they heard Luke, Alyssa and Lorelai stopped talking and came back to the real world.
