[glow=red,2,300] Alright, heres some Jamie and David pics, there might be other people mixed in here too, though.
Golden pairs, the more, the merrier.
Lifts, Jamie and David, Elena and Anton.
This trick, whatever it is, is definitely a team effort.
They've got talent, this spin and left definitely shows that.

ok first of all, i know americans must be upset (i would be too if canada lost, i would be bawling because i really don't take loss very well!!) but we have to accept that the better team won ;D and the USA has tons of glory already (i mean HELLO? freaking like 32 medals or something!! SHATTERING all previous records... be proud!)
Susie, you are a goddess... beautiful pictures! i'm gonna take them and make a canadian hockey background!! remembrance of our glory! and i request WOMEN'S hockey pics!! it's too bad that you can't get canadaed up with me but i'll think of you! and i'll get back to you about all that roots stuff!! i just am so inspired... i kinda feel like painting my room red!! (no i'm not crazy... i just have this desire to be immensly canadian and salute our flag a few hundred times)
also loving the jamie and david pics... they are just so cute...and i love that cool our person spin thing that they did with the russians... very cool! i agree with Susie - Bourne and Kraatz were robbed (and those french are just scary!! he's all 3 muskateersy and she's just a witch!! did you see her hair? and those eyes!! ahhh scary) and Sasha just bugs me... i really like Michelle Kwan and i still think that even tho she messed up, she should have won...
hmm... i think that's all i have to say right now but there will be more... i was addicted to these olympics, have dozens of opinions on things and am SO sad that they are over!!

[glow=red,2,300] Lol, Pazarat really does look all "Three Musketeers-y. I cant believe that on top of not like Wayne, Aj likes them and she likes Sasha I mean , lol sorry. I just really dont like them. I mean even my mom hates Anissina and Pazarat lol. And yeah, the US won 34 medals, second only to Germany who won 35. But considering the previous American record was 13 in Nagano, and the fact that Canada only got 17, half of what the American's got, I hardly think its anything to cry about. So you guys got silver in Men's and Women's Ice Hockey, its about time people shaped up and figured out that thats the way hockey should go. How seriously does the average American take hockey? And how seriously does the average Canuck take hockey? Answer those and then tell me who you think deserves to win. And dont get me wrong I woulda liked to have seen some of my American boys win, like Richter, Hull, LeClair, Modano, Chelios, etc... but the fact of the matter is, they just didnt have that spark tonight. I mean where was the infamous Hull-LeClair-Modano line? Besides, its Hull's fault he didnt win a gold, he coulda played for Canada, he has duel citizenship Lol. Anyways, this is a long enough rant. Im glad you think Im a goddess Ruby, I appreciate that. God, Im an insomniac with cramped fingers. ~*Susie*[/glow]

ok totally agreeing with your whole rant!! hockey is just so much more important here... it's part of the heritage, part of what defines us as Canadians! we needed those GOLDS to assure ourselves that we still had that midas touch!! and the joy that that has spread through canada is irreplacable.
and i really don't like Hull... it's bordering on hate... because he was a canadian first and he was supposed to play for our time a whiles ago and he refused and then played for USA but you know what? SERVES the boy right!!! he could've been sporting a gold...
and i don't know how you can't like wayne!! i simply loved him after that rant about how Canada so critized and what-not... because he totally lived up to his word! he said that we would come out as the best and show everyone and we did!! we delivered when everyone said that we were too old etc... and when teams like czech said and i quote "i don't know what he is talking about everyone hating canada, there is nothing to be jealous of, they are clearly not the best team in the tournament" HAHAHAHA is all i have to say to that!! not that best team my *ss!! hehehehe
wow i really ramble when i'm depriving myself of sleep....

[glow=red,2,300] Ive come up with a nickname for us Ruby--Hockey Loving Insomniacs, lol. Anyways, it does serve that boy right, puts him in his place. He declined a spot on the greatest hockey nation's team, teach him a lesson. I think its great that even without the really internationally famous NHL Allstars, we still pulled it off. And we gave 'em a fight, it wasnt luck and we proved it to them. For anyone who ever doubted in Canadian hockey, shut up! Lol, its in our blood and anyone, and boy I mean anyone, who says a Canuck cant play hockey you dont know who you're dealing with. People look at me wierd when I say I like hockey, they give me the "You're a girl, you cant like hockey" thing. Dont bullsh*t me, girls can play hockey, hey we proved that one too. We swept it, after 50 years, its home and baby you're gonna work to get it back. Alright Ruby, I think we're coming off as very Anti-American Hockey right now, lol. Really I dont hate American hockey, I just hate people who have the classic attitude of that the Americans are gonna sweep it like they do everything else. Well this aint everything else, its hockey. And hockey is Canadian. It and Curling, they will forever be a Canuck thang, and you better get it. ~*Susie*[/glow]

I love the pics susies and the one with the four of them it's called a "death Sprial" And I must say that was so awesome when they did that I was jumping up and down. It was funny, my skating partner and I decied that we are def gonna try that LOL. And I know that you all like wayne, and I'm sorry but I don't. I think he's a great hockey player, but I just don't like him. Just like you guys don't like sasha. And plus you can like someone for their skating. ANYways.. I wasn't complaining about USA not winning hockey. I was just disapointed because our streak of no games lost on american soil was gone. I take hockey very personally. Hell I've played it. Hockey is a huge part of my life. I know more about the sport then most people who play it. What can I say. I'm drawn to the ice. LOL Anyway like I said before I am extremely happy for the Canadians in winning the goal. but just like you root for your home team I do the same for mine. K I'll shut up now. By the way. I'm sorry if I sound like a B*tch, I'm and just having a really bad day. SO PLEASE DON:T TAKE IT PERSONALITY! I LVOE YOU ALL! LOL *~AJ~*

[glow=red,2,300]I know what you mean Aj, but I grew up on Wayne. It would be like me not liking Elvis, Shaelynn and Victor, Brasseur and Isler, you know? Its just part of you from a young age. Hell, Ive played hockey too. I spent most of my childhood at the local arena, I wouldnt ask to have had it any other way. ~*Susie*[/glow]

k first to AJ - i totally respect your opinion and really didn't think that that was much of a b*tchy rant!! I expect much better from you! lol... well back to that topic, like i said before, obviously americans are going to be slightly disappointed, i mean who really is happy when you see your team lose?? but canadians are just so happy! we really needed this to boost the entire moral of our country's hockey population. and the american team was awesome... it was great to see the game all north americany... and i apologise if i sounded a little anti-american hockey... there's this little vicious competitive side that tends to lash out at anything non-canuck when we are competing! and i'll totally continue rooting for my team! i love them so much right now!!
and Susie - i love the name... i would just suggest Canuck Hockey Loving Insomniacs or something to that effect (because i really feel the need to be patriotic right now... you know i've noticed that americans are patriotic all the time, doesn't matter what they are doing, they are proud of their country... however most canadians are really overly patriotic until any kinda of competition i.e. hockey or curling rolls around and suddenly the whole country is caught up in canadian fever... it's kinda funny!) i love hockey as a sport, it is SO much fun to watch but unfortunately i'm not much of an athlete so i don't play it... i do skate and ski whenever i get the chance and spent a good chunk of my childhood in the local skating arena with my friends, but i never have played a full game of ice hockey!! i know tons of people who are great hockey players (and female!!) so i usually go out and watch their games as well!!
ok lots of iced coffee plus the most interesting topic in the world for me right now = ranting... not good ....

[glow=red,2,300] Of course, Canuck Hockey Loving Insomniacs, Lovin' it! Anyways, Im still not done my homework, Im a bad bad girl lol. Oh well! Anyways, this is an interesting topic. Hockey is just such a big part of me, I mean if people asked me to describe a few things that affected my life as a kid, I would so say hockey, figure skating and David(god, I miss that boy with all my heart.) Anyways, I cant begin to express just how much that Canadian hokey win meant to me, it will be forever remembered. ~*Susie*[/glow]

glad that you like my little addition to our name!! i totally know what you mean about hockey... it's such a big part of most canadians lives!! and this whole olympics meant alot to me for some reason (of course the canadian hockey sweep was wonderful), it was the first one that i actually watched and followed and honestly cared about, i can't believe that i'm going to have to wait four years for the next one!!

[glow=red,2,300] These Olympics were really special to me too. Ive had 3 olympics so far in my life that Ive enjoyed, Lillehammer(sp?--Winter '94), Atlanta(Summer '96) and SLC(Winter '02) They've all been great! And David, he was my best friend when I was little. I was reminiscing about waht affected me as a little kid, and I said it would be hockey, figure skating and David. ~*Susie*[/glow]
