No matter what they're talking about, yelling about, fighting about, there is a constant passion between them. Tristan is lacking things in life that Rory is overflowing with. They're both afraid to show their feelings because they've both never had something like this happen to them before. It's hard for them to be completely nice to one another, because their mind shuts down around each other, and they're reduced to bickering. Sexual tension is what it all comes down to, and they both have something one another needs.

I'm not a Trory. I have a strong passion for Dean. And I'm incredibly jealous of Rory. But I do like to read Trory stories. Some of the are so sweet. I don't write Trories. I only write R/D, but reading them can be refreshing.

Why not them? It's TV. And if ASP is attempting to have any small piece of reality in the show, she would realize that most couples from high school don't stay together forever. Rory's young; she needs to date other guys. Besides, why not put Rory with a guy who could change (for the better) because of her? Why not put Rory with a guy who challenges her and with whom she shares so much chemistry? There's too much tension, witty conversations, possibility, and potential to ignore, in my opinion. So why not Rory and Tristan?

Why them? A good and logical question and I have two words to answer that: sexual tensions. Now I know many Trories get caught up in the character of Tristan that all the fanfics make him out to be; lonely, sad, deeply in love with Rory. But I mean seriously, we know nothing about him from the show and so this is why I like the whole Trory thing: banter, tensions, and she did kiss him back. And so to end all I have to say is you can't deny the chemistry

For me Dean is just a stupid boy, whose ego is bigger than Paris'. He thinks Rory should be only with him and is very "machista". But there is Tristan, who is sweet and kind but doesn't know how to show it to that incredible girl he met. Just like Paris said to Rory "You don't know him". He acts like a jerk with Rory because he want her to see him. She loves him too it's just she doesn't realise that. It's like Luke and Lorelai. True Love!

What I love about Rory and Tristan, (besides the previously mentioned stuff), is what she brings out in him. The fact that she makes him feel real emotions. I love that!

Rory and Tristan are destined to be together. They have chemistry very similar to the Luke and Lorelai relationship and everyone knows that they have chemistry too and will end up together. The fact that Rory brings out another side to Tristan that is so incredibly sexy, sweet, and makes him into the cutist, most perfect boy is proof that there is something there. The kiss, their final scene, everything will come together eventually.

He challenges her...something Dean doesn't do. Their witty quarrels is what brings the passion into their lives. Her and Dean are just too sweet towards eachother and too comfortable with eachother. NO PASSION IS NO GOOD! Dean is the boy that she has to go through to realize the guy she really wants...Tristan. Sad but true. It also helps that Tristan is absolutly gorgeous.

There are so many different answers to that. In my opinion, the main reason that there are so many Trories is that Rory and Tristan are not a couple on the show (especially now that Chad left ...). So there are so many different angles to explore when writing the story - how they got together etc. Plus 'you always want the impossible'. As well, Tristan has so much inner turmoil, there is so much of hurt under the 'rich boy' facade which is so interesting to write about. And of course, there is the sexual tension, the undeniable chemistry, the witty banter and the fact that Tristan is just so damn hot!

They challenge each other. There's passion and heat and all the things that Rory doesn't have with Dean. Dean is like the fairy tale boyfriend, the flawless one. They always agree with each other and they seem to be perfect for each other. Except that I think Rory needs someone to banter with her, make her think, inspire her - and in a way, that's what Tristan needs too. His life must be very cold and lonely, and Rory is the one who can make him feel alive. She's naive and innocent enough to make him want to protect her, but at the same time she's independant enough to take care of herself and not be all clingy and vapid.

Sure Dean is cute, funny and all and all a sweet boyfriend but why would you want to date someone so predicable? Whereas with Tristan she came be surprised everyday with new things she can learn about him. Sweet is good but it's like eating too much sugar, there is sweet then sickening sweet. Plus who wants a buyfriend who will break-up with you because you couldn't say I love you? Real sweet, the boyfriend should be understanding and I believe Tristan is just that.

Tristan sees Rory as a girl that could kick his butt and he finds that attractive. Rory also didn't fall flat on her feet, drooling after Tristan. Tristan is a mysterious guy...he most likely lives in a huge mansion...cold, quiet, everything untouched...including himself. Rory could teach him stuff he's never done before...like wishing on eyelashes, saving sea glass...little things like that. And of course bantering...aka sexual tension.

Rory and Tristan? OMG they immediately intrigued me...I mean, Rory + Dean, they're nice to watch and all, but its the Trory scenes that I find myself rewinding my tape and watching over and over again...its the TRORY fics that I went searching for as soon as I started watching Gilmore Girls...(luv the site u have here btw! lol keep up the great work!) They have sooo much chemistry and the sexual tension is through the roof...I just love them.

Tristan tries soo hard for Rory, but he masks his love with his ego and confidence. It's kinda bittersweet. His love is completely obvious (even Dean sees it!), but Rory being the sweet lil' girl she is, is completely oblivious to it!

I like Rory and Tristan together because I like the relationship they have. They fight and banter all day long at school but at least they always have something to say to each other. I would rather that than a boring boyfriend who you constantly have awkward silences with or a boyfriend who dumps you because you can't say I love you...

Rory has has to many innocent things in life. Dean is just that nice small town guy with looks that show of the perfect guy that you dream of. Tristan is different. He's that rebel that's had a hard time growing up. Inside he's really sweet, he's just grown up learning to mask his feelings. Rory and Tristan are great together because she brings out the best in him and he challenges her the best way possible.

Most girls are attracted to bad boys. I'm not too sure why, but with Tristan, you know that bad boy exterior covers up a sensitive side, and you hope that you'll be the one who brings that out. Tristan's like a treasure box, you're not too sure what's inside, but you know it's got to be good. Tristan can take care of Rory, but Rory will also take care of Tristan, emotionally. Who doesn't want to be the one who heals the sexy bad boy? It's always so (bitter)sweet when the guy likes the girl and the girl has no clue thathe likes her, or that she has feelings for the guy. You're anticipating for the day that the girl realizes she has feelings for him (which is what is lacking in the Jess/Rory relationship).

What Rory and dean have is cute and all, but there is nothing even remotely interesting about it. It's the same thing you see in every high school in America. Big deal. But here, we have the rich boy with the disfunctional family, private school, and a sweet innocent girl. They are the perfect couple. The kiss in season 1, that was a kiss, a real kiss. It had sparks, if not fire works. They would be one of the best couples on television.

While opposites do attract and Rory and Tristan definetly have chemistry, they also have the same things expected of them and the same future. Rory and Tristan are both raised with class, will both go to ivy league colleges and will both be very rich in the future. Dean or Jess will only be something that is holding Rory back from all she can be, but Tristan always is pushing her forward and keeping her on her toes. And besides, they are SOOO CUTE TOGETHER! TRISTAN, COME BACK!!!

Rory and Tristan have the best dynamic out of all the guys that like Rory. Okay, so Dean's "sweet", but he's way too overprotective and controlling. And Jess is cool, but he and Paris would make a much better couple since they've both got tough facades. Rory and Tristan are so perfect for each other. Tristan's the best guy for Rory because he can match her witty banter, is ambitious and actually has goals, and is not only hotter than Dean, but his appeal is--well, more appealing! There's something about Tristan and his character. He's sexy and an underlining of intrigue. All their banter. the kiss, the longing stares...boy wouldn't I want that!! Although there is a very little chance of getting Chad Michael Murray to join Gilmore Girls again, I think even Jess is better for Rory than Dean. Because they have the bad boy/good girl thing going on where as Dean and Rory are good boy/good girl, which gets a little too perfect and a little too boring. Plus, there's a saying that reformed rakes make the best husbands, and it'll be a hella lot of fun to watch Rory reform Tristan.

The question shouldn't be "Why them?" but rather "Why not them?" I mean they're perfect for each other. I totally believe that opposites attract, and this relationship epitomizes that theory to the fullest extent. There is so much passion here! They each have their own opinions and they don't let the other one overpower what they've got to say. The bantering is what makes it especially worthwhile. What's not to love??

Dean is really boring, and he just kinda lost interest. Trory's are my favorites fanfics(of all fanfics ever created) I mean...I want Tristan back on the show, but...I feel really bad for saying this! Jesse is a OKAY Subsitute for Tristan. I agree with Anonymous who said that Rory is still young. I think she should date a little before her and Tristan hook up. Dean and Rory are okay but he seems to be the kind of person that feels what he think is his is his forever. Way too possesive. A little is okay but he seems like a caveman when Tristan is around. Who wants a caveman as a boyfriend? Rory's too independent for him.

They're exactly the opposite and completely the same. Rory's alive and open, Tristan's broody and closed. Rory needs a stable relationship that tests her but doesnt provide things like jealousy. Tristan just needs a relationship exactly the same, serious, definitely not a no strings attached deal. He needs someone who depends on him, who needs him; and so does Rory. Its complex, but no one ever said love is easy.

The first time I saw Tristan and Rory together I knew that they were supposed to be together. With Dean and Rory it was just too easy. In most shows you have to wait for like half the season before anything really happens between a main character and a love interest. With Tristan there's a challenge, he's a much more complex character then Dean and I think he should have had more of a chance to show his true colours. The scene that sticks out most in my mind, is when Tristan has stolen Rory's books and she's telling Dean she loves him. The look of disappointment and hopelessness in Tristan's eyes when he saw them kissing was so sad!! There are far more sparks between Rory and Tristan than there ever were between her and Dean. Imagine if Tristan and Rory actually got together.. but I guess it's not gonna happen.. except in our dreams!
