gosh i'm sorry i wasn't around all week!! really truely sorry!!
and to tell you guys the truth, i've never done a debate before, this was my first time!! hehehe
and stupid shell closed the thread before i could post a rebuttel!! so here is what i had started but i won't bother to finish cuz the debate is over!
Not only have we seen Dean jealous more often, but for more irrational reasons. Tristan never directly started a fight with Dean, however he did get in his face twice. Also I never said that Tristan was in love, at least I didn't mean to. Tristan can't truely love Rory because he doesn't know her well enough yet but he can harbour very strong feelings of attraction towards her.
I think that Tristan's problems are much less complex than we make them out to be. They are just different type of problems to that of Dean and Rory. And if Rory could work out her problems with Dean as you are so confident she can, she can do the same with Tristan.
I completely disagree with that whole Chris/Lorelai thing. First of all, Tristan is NOT a snob. He may be slightly conceited and rich, but that does not make him a full out snob. If he truely was a snob, then he wouldn't let himself fall for someone like Rory. Also, women and men react differently to the same treatment. Maybe Lorelai was strong enough to stand up to her parents but Tristan clearly isn't. And although we know that Lorelai hated that atmosphere, we don't know the clear details of how she acted, so she could very well have had elements of the 'spoiled brat' in her. The same goes for Christopher. He may have had elements of the brat as well. And Lorelai was so rebellious and fun-loving that she decided to get together with someone, anyone who had the samn interests. Ok, I'm going way off-topic here.
Tristan does have a bit more emotional baggage then your average Joe, Dick or Harry but that does not mean that he doesn't have the potential to be an amazing boyfriend. Since he was denied love and caring in his homelife he will make up for it with the relationships he has, once he really lets the real him through. If he was given a true chance to be with Rory, he would always appreciate and care for her, because he knows that she is different. Since she is so 'real', she will bring about the true person in him as well.
that's what i had started before shell decided to close the thread.....
also what's wrong with melissa??
and i'm very grry at AJ right now!! She wasn't around at all!! grrrrrr so we lost a member till the last minute when our wonderful Susie came in!!! ;D

[glow=red,2,300] I hardly came in at the last minute, it was like a couple days before it ended. Sorry Shell closed the thread. That bites totally. I was going to get back on, but I started watching Shes All That, then 10 Things I Hate About You and then ended up watching On The Line...again. ~*Susie*[/glow]
