and ok so maybe hes kind of a jerk, but he is sweet sometimes and you know he can 'cause of the goodbye scene which was so cute!
and rory was just freaked that she had her first boyfriend and wanted to keep the guy thats why she didn't fall for tristan, but after a year she realized that she needs more then what dean has. but if tristan was back then she would because deep down she has feelings for him, why would she have kissed him that day if she didn't? she may have been kinda upset but still and the way she looked at him the episode with the play, she totally wants him. and she was so pushing dean away!

Well, well, well, lookie what we have here! Miss I-would-NEVER-love-someone-other-than-Bean head-EVER (Sara of course) is having change of heart!  I'm glad you finally opened your eyes sweetie. ANYTHING is better than Dean. Just some points I'd like to make- *Dean is NOT charismatic. The guy has the personality of a damp washcloth. He's drab and boring. *He is soooooo not an important part of the show. He is and will always be known as 'Rory's first Bf'. In fact, they don't even think he is important enough to give him a last name. I think that is saying something. *If Dean is "An All American good-guy" remind me never to date one. Coz you know, I don't really have a thing for Jealous Stalker types. *I agree that Tristan gorgeousness is over rated (never by me;)) but I don't think we're focusing on that, we are focusing on the fact that the man is S-E-X-Y. Everything he does is sexy. The leany thing that he does? Don't you wish he would do that to you? Rory and Tristan have sexual tension (something R/D never had, have, or will have) which is a big part of why people can see them together. *Forget about R/J, I just think Jess should come home with me  . No doubt, I love him (A LOT), just not for Rory. Just my opinion. *Tristan is not GONE and I know for a fact that did not WANT him to go. So whatever. He'll will be back, and I will laugh in your face, so it'll all be good. *If Dean and Rory don't break up this season, I will also be boycotting the show. Wow, I'm sure there is more than that. I would've kicked ass in the debate LOL. And Shell, WORD WORD WORD lol. You said it very well ;D. |

Nope, Maria, no longer a change of heart. Still very much a Dean lover. I thought it through and decided he was better for Rory and I like him more. I do like Jess but I believe Dean's the better guy.
Anything is better than Tristan! When you guys will open your eyes is beyond me.
Give me a break Shell! So she kissed him, she was very much hurt and confused about her feelings for Dean. If Tristan cared so much about her why did he quickly say he was rebounding from Summer? Because he didn't want to get hurt? He'd already tried to tell her he liked her but she ignored it? Whatever, the guy's a coward...you can say whatever you want in response to my accusation.
Dean is a sweet guy, all-around nice and sexy. His sexiness, however, is not overly-displayed...he has wholesome sexiness that is admirable because he doesn't have to throw himself on a girl or lean so that he's blocking her way to display it. He just has to stand there looking awesome the way he always does. He has never hurt Rory. In fact Rory is the one doing the hurting on the show...but whatever I don't want to get into that because I still love her character.
Yeah, i'll give you that the episode where he kept calling was hilarious but that episode gave more perspective into who Dean is. Not a stalker but a guy who's worried about where his relationship with a girl he loves is going. He wants to hold on to her because he loves her. Naturally, you will all say he's stalker and jealous, etc. etc.
If I were in Dean's situation, i would sure be jealous if the person I was with was displaying more than friendly interest in another person who obviously liked him! If you wouldn't be then I'm sorry but that doesn't sound realistic.
Rory and Tristan have tension all right but not sexual. Sure he flirts with her and lays it all out for her but she just shoots him down and moves on.
Please inform me of any information that states that Tristan will come back. As well as how you know for a fact that Rory didn't want him to leave for reasons such as her "hidden feelings." I didn't think so.
Shell- Sweet sometimes just doesn't cut it. At least when Jess is around Rory he's sweet with her but Tristan was just an annoying jerk.
Oh yeah Rory has feelings for Tristan deep down there, so deep they don't exist!
Well, if they don't break up, Maria, you'll be missing out on a great show because Gilmore Girls has witty dialogue and more than just guys to it.
Oh, and Shell any plans on converting to a full on Trory? Because that argument back there was more than defending Chad's good looks. That was more along the lines of a ,bluntly stated, "forget Dean, Tristan is the one for her" arguement.
Oh well guess its just Laur,Wendy and Me now...as far as i know.

Aaaaaaaaand she's back to her narconess. *sigh*. I knew it was too good to be true . You can deny it all you want, but Dean is the jealous stalker type.What I don't get is, why was Dean so jealous if you said yourself that Tristan is "a coward...and keeps getting shot down...etc, etc". Because even Bean-Head could see that Tristan has a thing for Rory, and she even has a thing for him, which made him insecure. Basically, he thought he could lose her to Tristan. To prove that he actually cares about her, remember the hallway scene in Run Away little boy? Tristan asked Rory if things with Bean-head were going well, and when she said yes, he stopped making advances after that....he was nice. Proving that he only wants her to be happy...and if that's not truly caring for someone, i don't know what is. And about the kiss...if she was still confused about Dean, how stupid is it to go and kiss another guy? Either that's a major flaw in Rory (because I don't know anyone that would actually do that) or she actually DID (does) like Tris, and found it as an oppurtunity. She didn't pull away. She LET him kiss her. And kissed him back. I don't have any evidience that Tris will be back, but there's lots of unresolved stuff there. I think it would be so inconsiderate of the writers and actors to just leave all us trory's like that. And saying that he is never going to come back and they wanted to get rid of him was really mean Sara. I was just fuming at that. There's lots more points that I want to make, but i *so* can't be bothered atm. Yeah, we should have another debate (on a different topic). Should be fun. And thanks Kell and Shell (hehehe...i made a rhyme!) ;D |

I said Tristan was a coward for not admitting his feelings for her straight-out. Yeah, he might have been afraid of getting hurt but when you really care for someone your willing to risk it to at least know. Not that it would have done him any good, you can "deny it all you want" but Tristan is an annoying jerk and Rory didn't like him.
Dean didn't want Tristan around Rory because he didn't want her to deal with advances that were obviously unwanted. Rory was frustrated when he came around because all he did was annoy her. If he would have tried to be a nicer guy more often, then maybe he would have had a shot at being her friend and not the guy she has to tell off everyday.
When Tristan kissed her, she was shocked at what was happening and let it happen. It happens, doesn't mean you like the person. Some people's reflexes just aren't that fast, lol. Yeah, she kissed him back....aaaaand ran away crying because kissing reminded her of Dean..
I'm sorry that it got you mad Maria, really. But its the third season, and there is no sign of Tristan in any spoilers. At least in the second season, there was talk of his starring in a few episodes. Not this year.
Look, if they never even showed how M** and Lorelai broke up (that was seriously unresolved) they aren't going to write about Tristan making some weird comeback from military school. The show had no use for him. AS P has stated that there was a need to keep Lorelai and Luke apart for awhile. So what did they do? Bring Jess on. Conflict for Lorelai and Luke and a love interest for Rory. Tristan doesn't fit into this picture.
And yeah a debate would be fun but on a different topic we did this one already. ::yawns:: ;D

[glow=blue,2,300]Its very hard to admit that you have feelings for someone straight out, and in that snese, Tristans charctater has been constructed in a very realistic and true to life manner. (Oh God! I have been listening to my English Teacher waaaaaaaaaaaay to much!) Not many people DO have the guts to say to someone "Hey, I like you" so we can't sit her and label Tristan a Jerk for that. I am sure many of us here would be pretty scared of saying that to someone. Its always possible Tristan will be written back. You never know! And besides, They were reluctant to write him out of the show, So they would be pretty happy to write him back in, i am sure. They is alswyas a role in my heart for Tristan  Blugh, Mop wanted Rory away from Tristan because he saw they both liked each other. Case closed. [/glow] |

It is tough for a person to say they like someone but its also tough to flirt with a person so sorry he gets no break from me. He had no problem asking her out and being a jerk about it.
Once again, the writers of GG are creative but not
far-fetched. There is a slim to none chance that Tristan will ever return. Of course, I hope he never comes back. But realistically its highly unlikely he ever will. It'll take awhile for that military school to get the smart-ass out of Tristan DuGrey!
