I thought that too untill I realized that Dawson's parents could be ex-hippies who liked to name their kids after seasons or times of days (Summer, Twilight).

lol.. I don't think the creek was named after Dawson cuz the creek was probably there long before him so maybe he's named after the creek.

Okay....can I ask a question (since I only watched that show like once or twice) was there really a creek in the show? And if so was it really Dawson's Creek...or did they just call the show Dawson's Creek? b/c if it was just the show title then I think the creek was named for Dawson, but if the show actually had a "dawson's creek" then I think dawson was named for the creek
