pro war or anti war?
hmmm maybe i should start a thread for this......
just to let you know, i am not "pro war" in the sense that i am for the mass killings of ppl, but i agree with president Bush and think this war was necessary, and i hope it will end peacefully, but i do expect the US and Bush to do whatever it is necessary for the US to end up on top (without losing many soldiers, hopefully)

I have to agree with you there sometimes war is necessary, to find the peace. Sometimes freedoms isn't free and I have a poem just about that. FREEDOM ISN'T FREE
[glow=red,2,300]I watched the flag pass by one day It fluttered in the breeze a young marine saluted it, and then he stood at ease I looked at him in uniform So young, so tall so proud He'd stand out in any crowd
I though how many men like him Had fallen through the years How many died on foreing soil How many mother's tears How many pilot's planes shot down How many died at sea How many foxhole were soldiers graves No freedom isn't free
I heard the sound of taps one night When everything was still I listesned to the bugler play And felt a sudden chill I wondered just how many times The taps had meant "Amen: When a flag had draped a coffin Of a brother or a friend
I thought of all the children Of the mothers and the wives Of fathers, sons, and husbands with interrupted lives
I though about the graveyard At the bottom of the sea Of ummarked graves in Arlington No, Freedom isn't Free[/glow]

omg i love that! its exactly right too...i mean i sympathize with ppl who lose loved ones to war, i know what its like to lose a family member, but those ppl who die die for our country and for the freedom of the US and for that i am soooooooo sooooo thankful

I'm w/ you guys... I'm all for peace... I really am... but even besides all the weapons of mass destruction that Saddam has, what about what he's done to his own people? We can't just let him stay there. And I'm getting annoyed w/ everyone protesting the war... I keep saying to people, if we hadn't gone to war, what would have been another realistic solution to everything? And so far, no one's answered my question, so in my opinion, they shouldn't be protesting. ~*~Laur~*~
