ANd there sat Paris while all this was going on. Her sitting right there in a room full of people who despised her and were probably counting down the minutes til she left. Oh the awkwardness. 'I feel so uncomfortable,' she thought, as she watched them dancing, singing and stuff.
"Yea sure whenever," Paris agreed with a small smile. SHe felt completely weird, especially since she knew NONE of them wanted her there at all. Not that she could blame but still she felt...out of place...VERY.
"I'll follow. It will make it easier for me to get home. No one will have to take 30 minutes to drive me back to Hartford. I'll just follow you. Is that fine?" Paris asked double checking and making sure it was fine. She smiled and nodded...and that freaked me out a bit. What was happening...was Paris Gellars heart no longer two sizes too small? They start to pack up, due to the fact in about 5 minutes the bell will be ringing.
The teacher walked over to the board where the white overhead screen was pulled down.
"ANd now for the fun," he announced as he pulled down and released it, revealing a board with writing. Groans and moans came from various points of the room. "Your assignment this week is to get one partner. You will learn about him or hers life...how ever much you need to know is up to you. Then you will write a short story using that person as the main character." The man read aloud. "SOund fun?" he asked and silence echoed back. "Never-the-less, go find your partner. YOu can have the last few minutes to do so, but the rest is done one your own time and it is due next Wednesday. Have Fun!"
Paris opened up a pouch on her backpack, quickly searched and produced a purple gel pen. Paris held it out diagnoally to her right trying to get Alyssa's attention without getting caught by their teacher. She wasn't in the mood for detention.
THE THOUGHTS OF PARIS ~ WHile the three recite their lines.
Bianca. She really is an annoying character. The sister everyone wanted to know wanted to marry. And Katherine... the one no man dare married. This really is a boring play. Hopefully we won't have to act this one out in groups...ROmeo and Juliet was a disaster...blah. This play is much too long. Sure the language is easy, seeing as how SHakespeare has been something Chilton people have grown up with since middle school, but its still annoying. Did anyone ever really talk like that? ....I ramble to much...stopping now, she instructed herself and was listening to Alyssa and Tristan saying their lines.
"BYe," Paris repeated and the two hung up their phones. Instead of actually doing the homework Paris kicks it to the end of the bed. "Not like I could concentrate on it anyhow," she mumbled to herself. There she lies, staring and the ceiling, light off and she turns on her music.
"Speaking," she answered again. Paris paused for a moment. "And who would you be?" It almost sounded like Rory she thought, or her cousin in France, stupid phones manipulate a persons voice. Bah. Down with technology, she mentally laughed at her very OFF TOPIC train of thoughts.
